Be the Friendly Face of Downtown Bennington
 

The Better Bennington Corporation's Visitor Center Docent Program is a rewarding volunteer opportunity for anyone who enjoys meeting new people and sharing what makes Bennington special.
 

As a docent, you'll welcome visitors, tourists, and Appalachian Trail thru-hikers, answer questions, and help connect people with the many attractions, businesses, events, and experiences our community has to offer. Whether someone is visiting for a day or passing through on a long journey, your friendly guidance can help make their time in Bennington memorable.
 

The Better Bennington Corporation provides docents with informational materials, maps, brochures, event flyers, and other resources to help visitors find exactly what they're looking for. No prior experience is necessary—just a positive attitude, a willingness to help, and a love for the community.
 

What Do Docents Do?

• Welcome visitors to Downtown Bennington

• Provide information about local attractions, events, dining, shopping, and recreation

• Assist tourists and Appalachian Trail thru-hikers with questions and directions

• Share community resources and promotional materials

• Serve as a friendly and knowledgeable ambassador for Bennington

Available Days:

• Monday

• Tuesday

• Thursday

Available Shift Times:

10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
