Thursday, July 17 Midnight Madness! From 7:00 to Midnight downtown
will be rocking with sales, activity, music from Rich Ryder and
fun. Bring your family and friends!
Friday, July 18 Alison Jacobs is a deft and soulful singer (and
songwriter) of many blues styles who was nurtured around music and
always had an appreciation and deep affinity for the blues.
Saturday, July 19 Deena Smith is a popular, well-known performer
who has several years experience working with youth, teens and elders
through music and music production.
Sunday, July 20 6-8pm Paul Gibbs is a singer of traditional hymns,
southern Gospel and contemporary praise/prayer songs of hope, praise
and those that touch the heart of each listener. He has been writing,
performing and recording Christian music since 1994.
Friday, July 25 Rick Burgess Rick has a passion for roots music
including Cajun, Blues, Gypsy, Appalachian, Celtic and others. Rick
enjoys spending time in Louisiana studying with Cajun fiddlers,
most recently, Kevin Wimmer of Red Stick Ramblers and Michael Doucet
of BeauSoleil.
Saturday, July 26 Kirsten Thien Since early 2004, Thien has been
touring extensively with her 4-pc band and also as an acoustic/electric
duo with guitarist, David Patterson. Working their way up and down
the East Coast, from small bars to festival stages, Thien and her
core group of musicians present a tight package that truly connects
with audiences both large and small.
Thursday, July 31 Fred Lantz & Lisa Dee local talent that makes
you feel like you are in Nashville, Tennessee. Dont miss this
fantastic classic country duo.
Friday, August 1 Peter King & the Prescriptions Every show
with Peter is different and all are must attends Peter
has a large network of musically talented friends whom he invites
to play a little classic rock and roll for Summer in the Park. Local
harmonica player, Bob Stannard will join them again this year. We
can only promise an evening of excitement and pure pleasure, come
early and stay late.
Saturday, August 2 Tony Lee Thomas he has spent the last ten years
getting his chops together on the electric guitar. After having
developed his own songs with bands like Reed St. and recently Harvest
Mountain, Tony discovered that he had compiled a strong bank of
original music. 20 years of experience pushing the vocal envelope,
and his ever evolving guitar work lends Tony a comfortable versatility
that allows the freedom of tailoring his arrangement to any audience.
Friday, August 8 Woods Tea Company This wildly popular fan favorite
is sure to please with lively folk songs, rousing sea chanteys,
spirited bluegrass, haunting Celtic ballads, blazing fiddle solos,
and that special Woods Tea humor that has won the hearts fans
from coast to coast. Arrive early and stay late!
Saturday, August 9 Dave Banulis and Jazz X Talented musicians with
local connections they give their own twist to standards and jazz
classics, plus they do original material.
Friday, August 15 Greg Van Houten & Cindy Baxter Guitar and
vocals. Grew up in NJ surrounded by garage bands; good ones. Living
in Southern VT for over 15 years and mostly playing small venues
in the area with an occasional trip to Boston, Troy/Albany or NJ.
Big fan of many different styles and terrified of being easily labeled.
After all, it's only rock and roll.
Saturday, August 16 Mo Harrington & the White Chapel Band With
Old Tymie country musics popularity, this local
favorite seems to be in the right place at the right time. He has
been playing this music all his life, so its authentic. Moe
is backed by a talented bunch of pickers Fred Lantz, Randy Gates,
and Mert Snow.
Friday, August 22 Anna Cheek Described by some as, "Eartha
Kitt meets Rikki Lee Jones" - Anna, with her unusual, distinctive
voice and her intimate songwriting style, has been attracting attention
and gathering fans. A classically trained pianist, her songs and
her personal approach to expressing her lyrics provide a very "real"
listening opportunity, both in live and recorded performances.
Saturday, August 23 Crossings Pete Ciampis original rock-jazz
with a little blues and reggae. Working on their first album this
eclectic mix of local talent is sure to please.
