Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate our 25th anniversary on May 29, 2010!
Mayfest is now Vermont's largest juried arts & crafts festival. Over 175 artisans and specialty food vendors came from all over the east coast to participate in Vermont’s premiere spring kickoff event. Mayfest artisans or their family members create and design all wares sold. This year over 16,000 people attended.
With the addition of over 12 live entertainment venues featuring over 20 entertainers, we took the event to a new level by adding excitement, and turning Mayfest into a day-long event. We've extended the average visit from two and a half hours to four hours, because everywhere you looked there was some exciting activity occurring.
Another first for us were the multiple phone calls and letters from vendors, merchants, and participants who wanted to let us know how much they enjoyed the show. Thank you to everyone for taking the time to let us know how successful the day was.
We're already working on next year's show which will be on May 28, 2011 so please save the date and go on-line after January 1, 2011 to download an application.
Congratulations to Roots, Stems, and Threads for winning the Mayfest 2010 Best in Show Award!!

Main Street becomes a pedestrian only thoroughfare for Mayfest; the street will be filled with fantastic artisans and entertainers. Fairgoers parade up and down the street inspecting and purchasing the handiwork of talented crafts people. Again, we will be organizing the booths so that there will be four to a group in the middle of Main St. Every artisan will be able to sell from two sides of their booths. There will be plenty of space to walk around and much to see resulting in a pedestrian friendly environment.
Mayfest plays host to some of the finest jewelers, potters and art displays that can be seen anywhere in New England. In addition to quality crafters you will find many of the area’s fine non-profit organizations and all-day entertainment and multiple children's activities.
Dogs, skateboards and rollerblades are prohibited! Directions to Beautiful Bennington, Vermont.
Some of the vendors have provided links to their email or website. Click on any underlined vendor name listed below to reach them, or contact us at admin@betterbennington.com for more information.
