The Recruitment Committee's goal is to identify and pursue specific businesses or types of businesses that could affectively utilize available property in our downtown, based on the committee's research, experience, and the Retail Market Analysis Report. The Recruitment Committee is comprised of local business owners and managers and can be available either on an individual basis or as a group to consult with potential business owners. The Retention Committee is made up in large part by the same members as the Recruitment Committee and works closely together. The purpose of this committee is to provide existing downtown businesses with information, education and consulting to help these businesses remain viable. One of the successful ventures of this committee have been the Downtown BBC Round Tables. Some of our subjects have been: How to Market Your Business on the BBC Web Site, Parking - Do We Have a Problem?, and Retail Marketing Analysis, among others.
